Karoo Coin Challenge

The challenge is done!
A huge thank you to our Karoo community for getting behind this year’s Coin Challenge! It was fantastic to see the excitement build in the lead-up, with students eagerly collecting coins and wondering just how long their class line might be, and if they’ll win.
On the day, there was plenty of excitement as classes worked together to carefully place their coins and create the longest line possible. And the fun didn’t stop once the measuring was finished. Some classes have since put the coins to good use in the classroom, incorporating them into maths activities involving counting, sorting, estimating and calculating.
Congratulations to:
- 4D, our Longest Line Champions, with an impressive line measuring 63.3 metres
- FM, who took out the Longest Average Line Per Student, with 2.94 metres per student!
4D and FM each win a CLASS prize!
The mountain of coins is still being counted, and the grand total will be announced shortly. Every coin contributed to supporting our school, and we are incredibly grateful to our families for their generosity and enthusiasm. Well done, Karoo!
