Week 7

Louie McGough - Louie, I am so proud of the hard work you have been putting in during class, especially with your handwriting! Over the past few weeks, you have been focusing so carefully on forming your letters and making your writing neat and easy to read, and your improvement has been out of this world! It has been wonderful to see how much effort and persistence you are putting into your learning. Keep working hard, making good choices and showing us what you can do, Louie!

Hamish Detoma-Elliott - Hamish, what a fantastic learner you are! We love the enthusiasm you bring to every new challenge. You are always ready to have a go, and it has been wonderful to see you stretching yourself in your learning, especially in Maths. You are becoming a confident problem-solver who isn't afraid to give tricky things a try! We also love seeing your creativity shine through in your writing. Your funny and imaginative sentences always make us smile and we are so proud of the ideas you are coming up with. Your curious mind is always full of interesting facts too and we love hearing the wonderful things you share with us during our Soundbox sessions - and of course, thank you for the laughs! Your funny jokes and stories in the morning are always a wonderful way to start our day. Your curiosity, enthusiasm and fantastic sense of humour bring so much joy to Foundation C. Thank you for helping make Foundation C such a happy, fun and special place to be. Keep being curious, keep challenging yourself and keep making us smile!

Peyton Hall - Peyton, what an incredible year of growth you have had! It has been so wonderful to see your confidence grow, both in your friendships and in your learning. You are becoming a brave and confident learner who is willing to have a go, even when something feels tricky. You always put care and effort into your work and we love seeing you take on new challenges with confidence. You have also learnt that making mistakes is an important part of learning because every mistake helps our brains grow stronger! We are so proud of the way you keep trying and don't give up when things don't go perfectly. As a friend, you are kind, caring and always ready to help others. We especially love seeing you find your voice and confidently share what you believe in. We are so lucky to have you in Foundation C. Your growing confidence doesn't just help you, it inspires the people around you to be brave, believe in themselves and have a go too. Keep shining, Peyton! We can't wait to see where your brave and curious mind takes you next!

Elodie Gray - Congratulations Elodie! Your curiosity and determination to always do your best shines through each day. You are a fantastic role model, showing excellent whole-body listening and we love how eager you are to contribute and put your hand up to share your thoughtful ideas. Your enthusiasm and positivity is infectious and you take such pride in your learning. Your kind heart and caring nature make you a wonderful friend, and you are always ready to help others. You are a superstar who is shining very brightly in Foundation J.

Jamie Johnson - Jamie, you have been working so hard on your handwriting and it has been wonderful to see how much your writing has improved. You have also become a fantastic listener during floor discussions, listening carefully to others and confidently sharing your own ideas. Most importantly, you consistently bring a happy, positive attitude to our classroom and help make it a great place to learn.

Madden McWilliam - Madden, you are becoming more and more confident in yourself as a learner every day. The confidence you showed when doing your Share and Learn was fantastic, and we have loved watching you raise your hand more frequently to share your amazing ideas with your classmates. You are always smiling, always trying your best and always such a kind friend to everyone in 1D. We are so lucky to have you, Mads. Keep up the amazing work!

Hamish Thickins - Well done Hamish for your amazing effort and persistence with your commas activity. You did an excellent job sounding out your words, building upon your sentences and even helping your friend. You are a comma expert! Keep up the amazing work, superstar!

Maddie Eason - For your brilliant persuasive writing piece titled ‘Books are better than Movies’. You were extremely convincing and your use of persuasive devices throughout, what amazing.

Winter Hall - For being a shining star during our worded maths problems unit! You worked so hard on solving problems using the different operations and took on every little bit of feedback with such a positive attitude. You listened carefully, made changes and kept challenging yourself to improve. We are so proud of your fantastic effort and determination, Winter!

Rory Bannister - For coming into the classroom each morning with such a positive attitude and being ready to learn! You were a shining star during our Life Ed Van visit, joining in enthusiastically, putting your hand up lots and sharing your wonderful ideas. We have loved seeing your confidence and positivity shine this week. Keep it up!

Phoenix Jasper - Congratulations Phoenix! You have been working incredibly hard on your times tables and should be very proud of the progress you are making. You consistently take great pride in your work across all learning areas, always making sure it is neat, organised and beautifully presented. Your positive attitude and commitment to doing your best make you a wonderful role model in our classroom. Keep up the amazing work, Phoenix!

Kennedy Hall - For your fantastic effort and commitment to your learning, especially during writing and spelling lessons. You are starting each day with such a positive attitude and always take pride in helping with our classroom jobs. Your enthusiasm, responsibility and willingness to give everything a go make you a wonderful role model for our class!

Penny Boschma - Penny, I have absolutely loved the creativity and personal flair you have included in your writing. Your narrative story was compelling and had me on the edge of my seat, and your poetry has been a joy to read. Well done!

Kira Little - For the amazing effort you have been putting into your poetry and handwriting! Your creativity is shining through in your poems, and the care you are taking to make your handwriting neat and clear is fantastic. Keep it up!

Spike Whyte - For sharing your impressive knowledge during novel studies, you are a joy to listen to.

Harry Cowper - Your upbeat personality and fun-loving nature bring so much happiness and laughter to our days.

Kit Davies-Webb - Creative, funny, intelligent, kind, generous and artistic. You really are the whole ‘kit and kaboodle!’ Well done on the creative way in which you engage with our work every day. Your angles mini golf course was simply outstanding!

Daisy Baulch - If she makes a mistake, Whoops-a-Daisy, she learns, comes back with maturity and an attitude as fresh as a Daisy! Well done on the mature way you have dealt with the challenges that come your way, Daisy! Proud of you!

Annabel Summers - You showed fantastic engagement and enthusiasm during our Natural Disasters incursion, asking questions and demonstrating a genuine interest in your learning. Your excellent depiction of a guitar using geometric angles also showed creativity, precision and a strong understanding of geometry. Well done, champion!

Isaac Beesly - For consistently showing kindness and consideration towards others. You have wonderful manners and always treat those around you with respect and care. A real highlight has been hearing that, even outside of our school at District Athletics, other people noticed your kindness and passed on such positive feedback about you. It is fantastic to see you representing yourself and our school so positively. You should be very proud of the way you treat others and the positive impact you have on those around you! Keep shining, Isaac, and well done!

Nina Lappin - Congratulations, Nina! This week we are celebrating you for always showing such enthusiasm for learning in our classroom. You are always asking thoughtful questions, sharing interesting ideas and looking to deepen your understanding. A particular highlight has been your writing piece about bushfires. You have shown a strong understanding of how to craft an informative text and have put so much effort into your work. It is fantastic to see your interest in learning shine through and inspire your classmates to think in new and creative ways. Well done, Nina!

Casper Harberman - For the way you go about your learning in class, you are always focused and engaged in every aspect of what is asked of you. Casper, not only do you give 100% in class; you are also so supportive towards your table partner when working together. Keep up the great work, champ!

Week 8

Monique Elmaneh - Monique, you are such a kind and caring classmate! You are always looking out for your friends and making sure that everyone feels happy, included and cared for. I love how you notice when someone needs a helping hand, a friend to play with or just a little bit of kindness. You have a wonderful way of making people feel special and welcome. Whether it is inviting someone to join in, helping a classmate or saying something kind, you are always finding ways to fill someone’s bucket and make their day a little brighter. Keep being the kind, caring and thoughtful person that you are, Monique!

Winnie Tarry - Winnie, you are always such a curious learner! I love the thoughtful questions you ask in class. You always want to know why things work the way they do. You have been doing an amazing job learning our new Chitter Chants and using them to help you with your reading and writing. Your questions this week about the words saw and said, and why we don’t just add -ed to the base words, showed me how carefully you are thinking about your learning. Keep asking those wonderful questions, Winnie! Your curiosity helps you learn so much.

Marlie Malloy - Congratulations Marlie! You are a sounding-out superstar! I have been SO impressed with your reading. You are an enthusiastic learner who always tries your best and never gives up, even when you come across those tricky heart words. Your handwriting is beautiful and your pictures are always bursting with creativity and detail. You are always ready to help others and are such a caring friend. Your joyful spirit and positive energy brighten our classroom each day and bring smiles to everyone around you. You should be so proud of all you have achieved. You are a superstar who is shining very brightly in FJ.

Peter Deuchar - Congratulations Peter! What an excellent job you are doing with writing sentences! You challenge yourself each time, and I love the extra sentences you add all on your own. You’re a writing whiz! Your growing confidence has been wonderful to see, especially when you spoke so clearly during your Share & Learn. You are making great choices during mat time and always show a positive attitude. You’re a great helper, a kind friend and your wonderful sense of humour brightens our classroom every day! Stevie Radbourne Love - Stevie, what a fantastic couple of weeks you have had! You have been so determined in all of your work and you have ensured that every task is done to the best of your ability. Not only that, but you have also been listening to instructions carefully and regularly taking part in class discussions. Also, you have proven yourself to be very responsible during swimming lessons. Thanks for being a great role model.

Georgia Cole - For your courage during swimming, always trying your best, listening respectfully to the swim teacher and giving everything a go. You showed great determination and helped your group learn too! You are also doing an amazing job in Maths, sharing and creating equal groups and using skip counting to find the total. You are just 'on fire' with your learning and growth! Keep it up, Georgia!

Ruby Morehu - Well done, Ruby, for showing our school value of Courage at swimming this week! You have been so brave and willing to step outside your comfort zone and try new things. You have also shown fantastic listening to your teachers and have been responsible and sensible in the pool. We are so proud of your courage and positive attitude, Ruby!

Adam Omarjee - Congratulations on being our Student of the Week! You have done a fantastic job in Maths, especially when solving worded problems. It has been wonderful to see you carefully read each problem, identify the important information and use the CUBES strategy to help find the answer. Your confidence and persistence are really shining through! Keep up the fantastic work and continue to show your excellent mathematical thinking. Well done! 🎉➗⭐

Noah Mcmillan - For always setting such a wonderful example in our classroom! Your beautiful presentation, amazing effort and care in everything you do always shines through. You especially impressed me with the hard work and pride you put into your Maths Snapshot booklet for our parent-teacher conferences. You are such a hardworking and thoughtful learner. Parker Speil - For showing such wonderful effort and care with your handwriting during Let’s Spell this week! You have been working hard to make your letters neater, clearer and beautifully formed, and it was so lovely to see that effort shine through in your work. Piper Holmes - I have been so impressed with the way you have been attentive and focused in class and are working hard with your learning in all areas. You have also been so switched on during our group discussions, sharing your ideas and listening to others. Your bright, bubbly and positive attitude brings such a lovely energy to our classroom. Annie Roberts - For your excellent responses when reading Storm Boy and the thoughtful way you use direct quotes from the text to support and explain your ideas. You consistently show great care in your reading and a strong ability to think deeply about the characters and events. Well done!

Jett Vallay - For the curiosity and enthusiasm you bring to your learning each day! Your eagerness to learn, share your ideas and contribute to class discussions makes you a wonderful part of our classroom.

Leila L - You are someone I can always rely on to have a smile on your face, bring the fun, and at the same time, be kind and respectful.

Tillie Plueckhahn - In all the best ways you're, kind, mature, supportive and silly. Determined, and fierce, there's no one like Tillie. Til, you're a superstar. The improvements you have made, the friend that you are and the person you want to be... You should be so proud!

Ollie Williams - For demonstrating the school value of Curiosity. This is particularly evident during Numeracy lessons, where you are always searching for the next challenge and engage deeply when faced with something you are unsure of. You elevate the learning of your peers by bringing out the very best in them. Thank you for being a legend in the classroom. Well done, Ollie!

Oscar Degenhardt - For displaying the school value of Connection. You have a warmth about you that makes your peers feel welcomed and supported. You always walk around with a smile on your face and engage deeply with your learning by asking thoughtful questions. Thank you for being such a joy to teach. Well done, Oscar!

Ella Backman - You have worked so hard and shown amazing curiosity throughout your learning about avalanches. I have loved seeing you experiment with different topic sentences, including questions and interesting facts to engage your reader, as well as your excellent paraphrasing skills. It has been fantastic to see your effort throughout the writing process, and I can’t wait to see your hard work come to life at the Expo next week! You consistently work hard across all learning areas and are always willing to ask questions and seek help to grow. This is what great learners do! You strive to achieve your personal best, and that is something to be very proud of. You are an absolute joy to teach, Ella. Keep this attitude in all aspects of your life, and I know you will go far.

Austin Creary - For going about your learning as a mature and responsible student. You tackle each task head-on and are not fazed by what is asked of you.
