October, 2025 - FACT: Those who have goals are 10 times more likely to succeed than those without goals.
Congratulations Year 12! Thirteen years of schooling has now come to an end. It is a very special time as you graduate from high school and make decisions on what comes next. There are many different paths you can take; it's your own journey and it is not purely defined by your HSC results. Many of our students have received Early Admission to their chosen universities and we congratulate these students. Others have received scholarships, gained apprenticeships and cadetships. To all of our Year 12 students, we are so very proud of your achievements and we wish you all the very best for your future.

To the new Year 12, 2026 students my advice to you is to begin to explore options now for further study, employment or traineeships/apprenticeships. Set goals for your HSC and high expectations. Take opportunities as they arise and immerse yourself in extra curricular activities that can build a portfolio for future employment. If you need advice in any of these areas, please contact me and I can assist you.
Resources to support children’s post school transition
My Future has produced a great resource to help parents support their children as they transition from school. Some students may be excited or unsure about their post-school plans or feel a bit anxious or overwhelmed. As their parent, you can support your child through to their first big career transition, whether into study, work or play. This infographic has been designed with six ways parents can support their children as they finish school - https://myfuture.edu.au/assist-your-child/dots-infographics
Our students have been exposed to some great STEM opportunities over the past term. This week our Engineering students will be competing in a Renewable Energy challenge where they will learn more about this dynamic field of Engineering.
Our Hospitality students visited W Hotel, part of the Marriott chain of hotels, to learn more about careers in the Hospitality industry. Our Design & Technology students visited Blum, Australia where they learnt more about Industrial Design and the importance of Interior Designers in the design process. On this day, students also visited Torrens University, where they learnt first hand about a number of degree programs in Design, Business, Health and Hospitality. This is the start of their research into the best pathway for them post school.
