Another term begins.
Here we go for another wonderful term in our beloved Library.
“Reading is like breathing in, and writing is like breathing out. A word is a small magic, a spell that can unlock the world. Reading aloud to your children is a gift that will last a lifetime. Never give up on a child who is struggling to read.”
Only yesterday has our extremely talented Mrs Herrmann put up a new display in the Library entrance.
I am only providing a ‘sneak peek’ at this point as a detailed piece with many pictures and information will be in the next newsletter. I encourage all members of our school community to come and see this wonderful display.
House Chess
House Chess begins next week here in the Library each lunchtime. We have a beautiful new chess shield awaiting the engraving of the victorious House for 2025.
Uniting Church Lunch
Once again, on Tuesday, 26th August, Mr Leo McMahon and Ms Yidi Liu, a pre-service teacher in both Humanities and Maths, accompanied four enthusiastic Year 9 students to the Uniting Church. The experience of this commitment is one that always finds our students returning with big smiles and a sense of really ‘doing’ something that benefits others. It is so very worthwhile. Heartfelt thanks to you all, very well done.
L-R Lexi Thomas, Chloe Brook, Olivia Munroe, Maddie Pye,
and Ms Yidi Liu, pre-service teacher from South Australia.
