From the Assistant Principal's Desk (Heights Campus)

It has been a fun-filled and educationally busy time on the Heights Campus, with students enjoying a wide variety of exciting learning opportunities.
This year’s Book Week theme, “Reading is an Adventure,” reminded us all of the joy and excitement that books can bring. The day began with our much-loved Book Parade, where students proudly showcased a colourful array of costumes inspired by their favourite characters. It was fantastic to see so many families joining us—not only to watch the parade but also to stay and share in the classroom activities. Classrooms were filled with happy students and families reading together, exploring stories, and celebrating the power of books to spark imagination and adventure. Thank you to everyone who joined us for helping make Book Week such a special celebration of reading in our school community.
As part of the Book Week celebrations, our grade 3 and 4 students visited the local library to take part in an engaging illustrator workshop. In this hands-on session, students were guided through a simple three-step process for creating their very own character—a wonderful way to unlock imagination and make character design fun and approachable for everyone!
Our Foundation students recently celebrated their first 100 days of school! This milestone was filled with smiles, fun activities, and plenty of excitement as the students reflected on everything they have learned so far. A big thank you to the Foundation team for organising such a special day, and to families for sharing in the celebrations—it was a wonderful way to mark this important step in our students’ learning journey.
Looking ahead, a reminder that swimming lessons start next week for all Heights Campus students. To help make the experience smooth and enjoyable, we encourage students to practise getting changed independently and packing their belongings into their swimming bag. Please also remember to clearly name all items.
See you all at the pool!
