Principal's Message

Dear St Philomena’s Families,
It’s been another busy fortnight here at St Philomena’s, and I’d like to thank you all for your continued support of our school community.
We’re excited to invite everyone to our upcoming P&F Trivia Night, which will be held at the Moree Rugby Club on Friday, 13 June. This promises to be a fun night of friendly competition and community connection, so start brushing up on your general knowledge! You’ll find more details about the evening — including how to book a table — in the main section of this newsletter.
Next week, we join with schools across the Diocese to celebrate Catholic Schools Week. This is a special time to reflect on the unique contribution Catholic schools make to our communities and to give thanks for the gift of Catholic education. We’re proud that our Year 10 students and Year 6 leaders will be travelling to Armidale to represent St Philomena’s at the Catholic Schools Week Mass alongside students from across the Diocese.
I also want to thank everyone for your patience and understanding regarding the delay in our building project. While we had hoped to be further along by now, please be assured that we are working closely with the relevant parties and will provide a detailed update as soon as we have more information to share.
Wishing you all a safe and joyful fortnight ahead.
