Year 7 Art- Lino Printing

Throughout Term 1, Year 7 students learnt the art of Lino Cutting and Printing.  Lino cutting is a form of relief printmaking where an image is carved into a block of linoleum, then inked and printed on paper. The areas that are raised, meaning not carved away, will transfer the ink to the paper, creating the printed image. The final print will be a mirror image of the carved linoleum block.

Stage 5 Commerce

Stage 5 Commerce have planned, organised and worked with St Philomena's staff to run their own business. Their Commerce topic is 'Running a Business', so they've decided to put this into practice and raise money for the Vinnies Winter Appeal at the same time. The Commerce students wish to thank the St Philomena's community for their support of the business and fundraising efforts. We would also like to thank our local Vinnies for donating Milo towards the fundraiser.
