Physical Education

This term we have been working on our netball skills. A Sporting Schools grant has enabled us to have a couple of netball coaches in to work with our students. The 5 and 6 students play netball as one of the winter sports and the additional coaching is useful to prepare for their upcoming inter school competitions. The students have also been playing during lunch time and recess and their skills are improving. 

Last week John Paul II had their annual school Cross Country Carnival. The weather gods were kind to us and the sun shone. The students ran their hearts out and it was great to see the support from a large group of parents who cheered from the sidelines. A big thank you to Matt for setting up the grounds so magnificently and Coach Fitz for her ongoing support of PE at John Paul II. 

Congratulations to all the students who have been selected to compete at the STCPSSA Interschool Cross Country Championships on the 5th June. This year the competition will be at Bayview College so we don’t have far to go!
