Principal's Report

Report from our Principal: Duncan Arendse

Dear Parents, Guardians and Father Arsenio,

Thank you to all who have encouraged families to tour our school recently. As of today we have 61 preps enrolled for next year which is very healthy. I have added one more tour due to popular demand and I am also deep in the midst of prep enrolment interviews.

It was wonderful to celebrate the sacrament of Confirmation with the majority of our year six students last week. The Cathedral was a great setting for the occasion and I would be remiss in not acknowledging Father Arsenio and Bishop Thinh for their parts as well. Thanks to Marianne and Corinne as well as Elouise, Melissa and Andy who assisted.

Just a gentle reminder that while we love seeing families capturing special moments at school, we ask that you please avoid taking photos or videos of other students without permission. Additionally, we ask that any images taken are not shared or passed on to others unless they are of your own child. Thank you for helping us maintain a safe and respectful environment for all our students and families.

I’ve noticed an increase in ball games being played before school. While we love that our students are active and enthusiastic, we kindly ask that ball games are kept for recess and lunch times, once the school day has officially begun and staff are on duty.

This helps ensure everyone’s safety and keeps our morning drop-off routine calm and orderly.

Thank you for your understanding and support.

I'd like to bring attention to our school policy on Student Mobile Phones and Smartwatches. Please ensure your child adheres to the expectations in our school policy if they choose to bring a cellular device to school. In short, these devices must be switched off and stored in school bags for the entirety of the school day.

Best wishes

Duncan
