Please join us for this important parent information session regarding our Wellbeing Program from BeYou Body Bright. Whilst our students in 3-6 will be learning through the Body Bright program, we welcome Prep to 2 parents to join the sessions to maximise the information shared in our community. With a focus on preventing body dissatisfaction and serious eating issues, this session provides information and practical tips to help parents/carers of children (aged 5-12) better understand and promote positive body image and a healthy relationship with eating and physical activity in the home. It provides practical strategies to be a positive role model, reduce the impact of risk factors in a child’s environment and empower children to feel BRIGHT in their body, through the lens of 6 Body Bright themes. The session also explores when to be concerned about a child’s body image and what you can do, including referral and support information. Whilst the session does aim to increase understanding of early warning signs of body dissatisfaction and disordered eating, the focus is on prevention and fostering positive body image and healthy behaviours.

Student Voice - SRC Update

(New Bomber Jumper)

Our SRC has been working hard gathering STUDENT VOICE from classes on the improved jumper option for our uniform. The most bomber jumper option was the full navy jumper with buttons and zip being split down the middle 50-50. Our parent feedback showed that the navy option was also the most favourable but again the zipper or button option was split. Whilst we have the zipper soft cell jacket as part of the uniform already, we are liekly to explore the button option as a point of difference and also cater for our junior school who was more in favour than our seniors of the buttons. We will also explore with PSW the possibility of having both button and zipper option and what that would entail cost wise to the school. More on this space soon, a big thanks to the SRC for exploring Student Voice and Agency to get an informed decision of what our students value. Thanks to parents for your assistance in your feedback and voice as well.
