ITALIAN DAY CELEBRATION
Save the date: On Monday 30th June (last week of term 2), we will be celebrating Italian Day with an incursion attending the school to entertain us and with a host of other activities. Lunch, (a bowl of pasta) will be provided to students on this day. If your child doesn't eat pasta they will need to bring their lunch.
On the day children are invited to come dressed in the Italian flag colours (verde-green, bianco-white and rosso-red) or they can dress-up as something related to Italy. Please do not go to a lot of expense, just use items you have at home.
In our lessons leading up to this day, students are learning about the different regions of Italy, providing valuable insights into the country's overall landscape, diverse geographical features, cultural differences and historical influences.
The students have also been learning the songs that will be included in the performance and most have engaged in these enthusiastically. So far we have learnt 'Bella Ciao' and 'Volare'. We have two further songs to learn in the coming weeks. I have attached the links so the children could listen to and share with you what they have learnt so far.

NSS (NATIONAL SIMULTANEOUS STORYTIME)
Last Wednesday, our Foundation classes hosted 'Trikki Kidz - Toddler 2' while they listened to the story 'The Truck Cat'. Afterwards, they all made their own 'Funky Cats'. Thanks Foundation, you were awesome in welcoming our Kinda friends.
Scholastic Book Club
Issue 4 has been sent home this week. We realise the Book Fair is also commencing today, but not everyone has the opportunity to get to the Fair, so we are giving people both options.
Orders can be placed online using the LOOP system or you can send orders in with money enclosed in a clearly labelled envelope. Orders for Book Club will close on Friday 14th June.
A reminder to those who ordered from Issue 3 to use your $5 Promo Code.
