Upcoming Risk Assessment at Hay Avenue Children’s Crossing

We would like to inform our school community that Moira Shire, at the request of Transport Victoria (formerly VicRoads/DTP), will be conducting a risk assessment of our existing children’s crossings as part of a statewide initiative.

As part of this process, a representative will be on site at the Hay Avenue children’s crossing on Tuesday 3 June 2025, during both the morning and afternoon school times.

This assessment is part of a collaborative effort between Transport Victoria and local councils to review children’s crossings across Victoria, ensuring they continue to meet safety and operational standards.

If you notice activity at the crossing or receive questions from other parents, please be assured that this is a planned and proactive measure to support ongoing road safety around schools.

We appreciate your cooperation and support in this important initiative.

A Friendly Reminder from the Principal

We kindly ask that families contact the school via phone—and preferably before 2:30pm—if you need to share any time-sensitive information, such as changes to pick-up arrangements or who will be collecting your child.

While we do check emails regularly, there is a chance that urgent messages sent via email may not be seen in time, and we would hate for important instructions to be missed.
