First Lego League

Our First Lego League team, the Dream Team, have been buzzing with creativity and problem-solving. The students have been exploring robotics, coding, and engineering challenges as they worked together to design, build, and program their Lego robots. Their teamwork, persistence, and innovative thinking were outstanding, and it was exciting to see their ideas come to life at the competition on Wednesday, 12 November 2025.
On the first run of the robot game, our team scored 85 points. The team were proud of their efforts but knew they could do better. Afterwards, they went back and continued to work on their robot, changing and improving their code. They even attempted a new mission! On their second run, they scored a whopping 110 points, a HUGE improvement. For their final run, they attempted to score even more but were unsuccessful in their attempts and ran out of time to achieve everything they wanted to. They still scored 100 points!
Our rookie team received the Encouragement Award at the First Lego League competition. For a group with almost no coding experience prior to this, they showed remarkable enthusiasm, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. The judges shared that they believe our students have what it takes to become a strong team in the future, and we are incredibly proud of their efforts!
All of this was made possible thanks to Supa Group Extension, which generously sponsored our team and helped make this opportunity a reality. We can’t thank you enough for enabling us to go and compete.
