Japan Trip

100 Days to Go!

We have now hit just 100 days until our Japan trip! To celebrate this exciting milestone, our pre-trip lesson last week included a little celebration of its own.

Students enjoyed sampling a selection of Japanese foods, including some flavours and foods that were completely new to them. It was wonderful to see so many students willing to give new things a try, as embracing new experiences will be a big part of our Japan adventure.

As part of the lesson, students also learnt the phrases itadakimasu and gochisousama deshita, which are traditionally said before and after meals in Japan as a way of showing respect and gratitude for the food and those who prepared it.

The excitement for the trip is certainly building!
