Thank You for Supporting Our Instrumental Ensemble
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to two generous school families who have helped support our growing Instrumental Ensemble program.
The school recently received an electronic drum kit as a gift from the Kyloh family, and an electric guitar and amplifier were generously donated by the Richardson family.
These valuable contributions are already enhancing opportunities for our student musicians and supporting the continued development of our ensemble program, now in its second year. The instruments were featured in our recent ensemble performance, helping students build confidence, creativity and a love of music.
We are incredibly grateful to the Kyloh and Richardson families for their generosity and commitment to enriching the musical experiences of our students. Thank you for helping our young musicians thrive!
Well Done SACSA AFL Students
Today our students had a fantastic day representing Good Shepherd at the SACSA AFL Carnival. With an early start, the bus departed at 7:30am and returned to school at approximately 3:20pm after a full day of competition.
Both teams displayed excellent sportsmanship, determination and teamwork throughout the day. The boys' team achieved an outstanding 3rd place overall, while the girls' team celebrated a win, kicked several goals and maintained great spirits throughout the carnival.
We are incredibly proud of all the students for the way they represented our school. Congratulations to all players on a wonderful day!
See us at the Muddy Hands Festival!
Good Shepherd Lutheran School are gold sponsors at this year's Muddy Hands Festival!
An event provided by the City of Tea Tree Gully Council and hosted by Nature Play SA, come and join us along with over 6,000 visitors as we get muddy in giant mud pits, make nature potions, sculpt clay, build cubbies and so much more.
Good Shepherd will be there at our very own event site where we will be making some beautiful nature art. Why not come along, say hi and make some art with us?

Operation Christmas Child
There are many wonderful opportunities around where we can show love and care to people in need of support. In fact, over the next few months, more opportunities will be presented. Here is just one of them... Good Shepherd Lutheran Church is participating in ‘Operation Christmas Child’!
This offers us the opportunity to share the joy of Christmas through the gift of a shoe box containing gifts for children overseas who normally would not receive anything at Christmas. The children are also offered the opportunity to participate in a series of lessons introducing them to the good news of the gospel.
Have a chat as a family, and if you are interested, either see Georgie or pick up a box and pamphlet in the Church café. Once filled, please return to Georgie or the church office during opening hours with $12.50 enclosed (or paid on-line) to cover the cost of transport and course materials. Boxes need to be returned no later than Wednesday October 14th. Any questions, please email Georgie or have a chat!
Coffee and Connect
To say that there has been a lot of things happening of late is somewhat of an understatement... How have you been managing it all? Is there some way that we can support you? Come and join us for a cuppa and a chat tomorrow and/ or next week... Where? The Church Café When? From 8:30am (Just come through the courtyard.) Stay for 10 minutes or until 10am! It can be comforting and encouraging to hear each other’s stories. Toddlers are welcome! (We have a small playground. You just need to keep an eye on your little one(s) for safety reasons.) I look forward to seeing you soon!

Australian Lutheran World Service - Walk My Way
The ALWS 'Walk My Way' event at Happy Valley Reservoir, hosted by Our Saviour Lutheran Congregation at Aberfoyle Park, is happening next Saturday 12th September. We would love extend the invitation to the wider school communities and families.
Thank you so much for your support. We'd love to see as many people as possible there on the day to support refugee girls to stay in school.
