Principal's message

Tomorrow we have our celebrations for Father's Day.  

We begin the day with breaky provided by the Wangaratta Lions Club and Gathered Grounds & Co. At 9am we will gather in the hall for our Father's Day Liturgy.  We invite our students to sit with their Dads, Grandfathers, special visitors and to enjoy this sacred time together.  Our students have enjoyed shopping at the Father Day Stall, and I hope these gifts are hidden away ready for Sunday.  Thank you to our Parents & Friends Group for organising and co-ordinating the breakfast and Father's Day Stall for us.

To all our Dads, Grandfathers, Uncles and special people who play this important fatherly role for our students, I hope you enjoy Fathers Day on Sunday.

Next Friday we have our Athletics Carnival from 9:10-1:00pm at Bill Easton Oval- Appin Street.  This whole school event is a highlight for our students, and they have been preparing in their PE lessons with Mr Noaln and with their class teachers in readiness for day. We invite family and friends to come along cheer on students and enjoy the day with us.  Students are invited to wear the colour of their house team (Brigidine- Gold/Yellow, Delaney- Red, Mackillop- Blue). We discourage the wearing of coloured hair spray etc, as this is a sports day not a dress up day.

With both of these school events, as part of our school's child safe practices, parents may only take photos and share online of their own children and not include other students.

Binanca Lancaster, one of our Foundation teachers begins her Maternity Leave at the beginning of next week.  We wish her and her husband all the very best as they begin parenthood and all the joys it brings.  Kellie Symons and Simone Price will be the replacing teachers for the remainder of this school year, and we thank them for their willingness to do so.
