From the Principal

What a fantastic turnout we had for Open Day last Friday! Despite the weather forecast not being ideal, we had great numbers through the gate and the weather kindly held off until lunchtime, giving visitors a good couple of hours of sunshine to get around the area displays.

I have received overwhelmingly positive feedback, with many references to how our students were presented and interacted with the public. Our students showcased their achievements and success, prospective students had an opportunity to better understand what Cunderdin Ag has on offer, and staff, parents and the general community could all share in the celebrations. A massive thank you to our fantastic staff for all of their efforts in preparing for the day.

A special thank you to our wonderful P&C who sold 140 pairs of our collegian footy shorts and raised over $1500 in their raffle - thank you!

Year 12s

With just over 2 weeks remaining for our Year 12 General students, the pressure is on to finalise course requirements in preparation for their transition from school. I continue to encourage our 12s to dig deep and enjoy their last weeks with us, and finish on a positive note that is one to remember.

Week 10 will be all about our 12s, with a farewell dinner on the Tuesday night at the Rec in Northam, a sleep in and farewell breakfast for all staff and students on the Wednesday morning (a new initiative this year), and then fun activities on the Wednesday afternoon for those who have not been signed off or are choosing to remain in Trades or Farm for the rest of the week.

I urge all 12s and their parents to please make themselves familiar with the clearance and sign off requirements for the end of term, and the obligations of those required to return in Term 4 as outlined in Miss Leanne Sjollema's Chatter article.
