Class

With only two and a half weeks remaining of Term 3, the Class team are working hard to support the Year 12s to finish all of their assessments. Although the end is clearly in sight, it's important to remain focused and organised to ensure you complete all tasks to complete your courses.

Congratulations to Y12; all students have passed their Reading and Writing OLNA tests. A few students will be sitting the Numeracy test in Week 9 (date below), and we wish them all the very best of luck.

Yr11s sit their OLNA tests in Week 8 and Week 9 (dates below). Students are reminded that Mrs Packham will be in Prep on Wednesdays to support them in their preparation for the tests.

Drones

Week 8 has also seen our Drones Recreational Pilots License students sitting their theory and practical tests. The tests are very demanding and result in a professional drone pilot licence. Staff from Global Drone Solutions conducted the tests and all students passed the practical component - congratulations!

Mock Exams

In Week 9 and 10 the ATAR students will sit their mock exams. This is the final task for all subjects and is in preparation for the final WACE exams at the end of October and beginning of November.

ECU are offering free ATAR revision sessions both on campus and streaming live from Monday September 29 to Friday October 3. The sessions will be delivered by teachers currently delivering the 2025 syllabus. Each session comprises a four-hour seminar covering: The Year 12 syllabus, examination techniques and revision tips, a Q&A session and a copy of revision notes. All revision booklets will be accessible a week prior to the session. Sessions relevant to our students are Maths Applications and English. To register for online sessions, click here.

Elevate Education will be hosting their next parent webinar on supporting your child during exams on September 17 from 6.30pm - 7.30pm. To register for online sessions, click here.

Open Day

Finally, a huge thank you to the class staff and the students working with the class team for Open Day.  It was a busy and successful day with visitors including prospective students and parents, as well as many past students who dropped in to see what the students do in the class area now.
