Trades

Student Projects
Year 12 students have been working hard to complete their projects. Many have been adding materials to their projects, which makes it difficult to finalize costs at short notice.
Students will be able to collect their projects at Valedictory once invoices have been paid. Staff will endeavour to send invoices as early as possible next term.
General students will only be required to attend next term if they have not been signed off for their Trades Certificates.
Trailers
The process for licencing trailers has changed to ROVER. This has brought increased rigor for licencing. To assist students, we will have a file containing the trailer details and a list of what needs to be completed to acquire a VIN and then licence.
Moving forward, we are developing some standard trailer designs that we intend to have pre-approved by an Engineer which will remove the engineering inspection component and reduce overall costs of licensing. Students will still be able to build custom projects on the understanding that it would need to be tested for licencing at a cost to be covered by the student/family.
Open Day
I think everyone would agree that Open Day was fantastic. Thank you to the Students and Staff for their efforts in preparing Trades for the day. We had some awards on the day to recognise student work across Trades.
