Mt A Marvel

Mt A Marvel is the College's special initiative to celebrate the exceptional students within our school community. We take immense pride in recognizing and acknowledging the remarkable achievements of our students. If you know of any "Mt A Marvels" whose accomplishments should be celebrated, please don't hesitate to reach out to the relevant Head of House. We believe that highlighting student excellence is a source of inspiration and motivation for all.

Congratulations Alicia (Year 8)

Alicia was a part of the top under-14s team at the Junior State Cup held in Rockhampton. She played for the Brisbane Cobras and emerged as the champions in her age group, winning the Grand Final with a score of 7-0.

Following her success at the Junior State Cup, Alicia also participated in the 'National Youth Championships' (NYC). She earned a spot in the top Brisbane Red Cobras team, making her one of the top 14 under-14 girls' touch football players in Brisbane. Representing Brisbane, Alicia and her team competed on the Gold Coast in the NYC.

They secured the 5th position out of the 20 teams that participated this year, making them the best Queensland team.

Alicia, this is fantastic news - congratulations!

Goodluck Marianne (Year 7)

Marianne is a proud member of the Synchronized Ice Skating Club, and we're excited to share some upcoming achievements. Their team is gearing up to participate in the Queensland State Championship, scheduled for Friday, October 20th.

Additionally, they have been chosen to represent Queensland in the National Ice Skating Championships in Sydney on November 30th. We wish Marianne and the entire team the very best of luck in these competitions!

Well done Sarah (Year 9)

Sarah, a gifted musician among us, had the honor of gracing the stage at the Recovered Futures Art Exhibition in King George Square. Her performance was a part of an initiative during Queensland Mental Health Week. Sarah's musical talents were featured as she joined the Emerging Pianists of Brisbane, an opportunity that came about after she achieved an impressive 3rd place in the Under 14s category of the Queensland Piano Competition.

In addition to her musical accomplishments, Sarah generously volunteered her expertise at this year's Transition Day for parents and students who will be part of the Year 7 cohort in 2024. Her multi-faceted talents and contributions are truly remarkable and commendable!
