Around the College

da Vinci Decathlon
On Friday 24 April, a Year 5 and a Year 6 team travelled to The Riverina Anglican College to compete in the da Vinci Decathlon competition.
Throughout the day, they needed to work as a team to complete papers across 10 different disciplines including Engineering, Creative Producers, Ideation, Mathematics, English, Science, Art and Poetry, Legacy and Cartography.
Both teams were very successful on the day, receiving awards across a variety of disciplines. Both the Year 5 and Year 6 teams were also awarded second place in their respective divisions. Both teams represented the College well and showed amazing teamwork skills.

College Mates
We also launched a new program called Mates, where Secondary School students come alongside a Primary School 'mate' to spend time encouraging, supporting and connecting with them. It was such a joy to watch our pilot group of 10 Primary School students meeting with their Secondary School mates for the first time and beginning to build these relationships together.
This is such a wonderful advantage of being part of a P–12 College community. The program not only provides meaningful leadership opportunities for our Secondary School students but also makes a real difference for our younger students, giving them another positive older student in their corner cheering them on and helping them feel known and valued. We are excited to see the impact this program will continue to have on our students throughout the year.
