Principal's Press

Dear Parents,
We are so thankful for the many mums, grandmothers, and mother-figures who joined us for Muffins with Mums last week. It was a joy to see our community gathered in such a warm and celebratory way. We were reminded again of the extraordinary influence mothers have—not only in the daily rhythms of family life, but in shaping hearts, character, and faith across generations. Your love, prayers, and presence leave a legacy that reaches far beyond the moment. Thank you for all you do in nurturing and guiding the young people entrusted to our care.
Your Feedback is Wanted – Strategic Planning has Begun
Thank you to the parents who attended the Parent Forums last week, it was a great opportunity to discuss some of the current projects in the College – I look forward to hosting another Parent Forum in Term 3.
We are very excited that work has begun on preparing for the next Strategic Plan for the College. The feedback of students, parents and staff are important to this process as it helps us select the core priorities for the College to focus on into the next three to five years.
Over the recent few years, guided by our last Strategic Plan we have:
- Significantly re-structured and expanded the College leadership, including an entire student wellbeing leadership structure across the College, additional learning leaders, and an additional Executive role.
- Provided a dedicated Inclusive Learning leadership role, with additional SSLO staff and dedicated support for students with English as an additional dialect
- Developed a new Christian Ministry Plan, which is in early steps of implementation, including a re-shaping of Biblical Studies in the College and increased connections with local churches
- Re-shaped our Long Day Care, into a College operated Preschool and separate OSHC service
- Increased our investment in professional development of staff, including a whole-College focus on supporting student wellbeing, and the explicit teaching of writing
- Increased our use of key educational data to track and inform our support of students
- Undertaken expansion of technology infrastructure in the College, improving the use, safety and security of technology that students use.
- Developed a Masterplan to shape the next steps for the development of the College campus
- Launched a partnership with Compassion Australia to increase the opportunity for students to be involved in service learning and see the impact of their fundraising
- Re-shaped our College values, as part of a larger project towards building a positive behaviour and character development program focusing on Kindness, Respect, Diligence and Integrity.
- Increased the staff wellbeing supports and a new common staff room
- Added additional specialist support roles
We remain committed to delivering a high quality Christian education, in partnership with parents, where students are safe and supported to grow in character to be more like Jesus.
I look forward to reading your feedback – please complete the survey hereif you have not yet had a chance.
