Congratulations to the College teams that secured a spot in the Grand Final showdowns:
U12B Girls won their Grand Final against Minders. Congratulations to Sas Gould and Naomi Lee on coaching the team to a Premiership. Player of the match was Hazel Johns, who never gives up and chases down every ball!
U14B Boys also won the Grand Final, playing against XX. Thank you to Lachlan Copley for coaching, and well done, girls, on a fantastic season of growth and sportsmanship.
U16B boys won a thrilling game against Minders Mavericks, with Darcy Clark hitting a 3-pointer to send it into overtime. They won the match by 2 points. The top scorers were Darcy Clark and Digby Heazlewood.
Men's 2B took out the Grand Final against Minders, winning by 12 points. Congratulations to Harry Croft on being the highest scorer on the night and taking out the Grand Final MVP award.
Men's 2A won a against the Barber Boys 30-38. Ahmed scored 21 points.
Well done to all College teams that played basketball this season, with many reaching the final rounds and improving their skills throughout the season.
Men’s basketball report - Lucas Thomson
Finals week for the 2025/26 summer basketball season was a great success for College basketball. On Monday we began with a thrilling 2-point win for the U16b Boys over Minders 39-41, top performer was Darcy Clarke with 19 points completing a dominant season in u16s.
Tuesday night brought a brilliant win by Men’s 2B Barn Owls 44-32 over Minders. Harry Croft played a brilliant game, scoring 18 points and coming home with the Grand Final MVP trophy. This wrapped up an undefeated season for the Barn Owls.
College’s success continued into Division 2A with a grueling win over Barber Boys 30-38. Ahmed was a standout performer, scoring 21 points. As the summer season ends, teams prepare for a successful winter season that will commence after the break.
