A term of challenge, resilience and celebration

As the final bell of Term One rings this afternoon, we find ourselves pausing to reflect on a term that asked a great deal of all of us — our students, our staff, and our families. It has not been without its difficulties, and we want to acknowledge that honestly and openly. Yet it is precisely in those moments of challenge that the true character of a community reveals itself, and ours has shone.

To every member of our community — thank you.

To our students: your perseverance and good humour through a demanding term have been nothing short of inspiring. To our wonderful staff, who gave so generously of themselves each and every day — your dedication does not go unnoticed. And to our families, whose trust and partnership underpin everything we do here — thank you. This College is stronger for having each of you in it.

Looking to Term Two

While the break is most certainly earned and well deserved, it is also true that the excitement of Term Two is already building. There is so much to look forward to.

Term Two highlights

  • Wellness Week — our SRC are already deep in planning, culminating in the always-electric College Has Got Talent

  • The start of hockey, clay target, netball and football seasons — we look forward to cheering our teams on

  • Musical rehearsals in full swing, with our Performing Arts offering its customary wealth of opportunities

  • House events, including cross country, chess, and our House Afternoon — all great occasions for school spirit

  • Year 9 Melbourne — a week our students have been eagerly anticipating

  • And of course, the rich and varied learning that takes place in our classrooms every single day

We wish each and every family a peaceful, restful, and genuinely restorative Easter break. You have all earned it. Take time to rest, to reconnect, and to recharge. We look forward to welcoming everyone back, refreshed and ready for a wonderful Term Two.

Uniform

Students may begin Term Two in either their summer or winter uniform.

By Monday, 4 May, all students need to be in winter uniform.

We are incredibly excited to be working with VicHealth Wellways to host Andrew Fuller, renowned Clinical Psychologist and Author at Coillege next term - 28 May.

I highly recommend that you pop this date in your calendar now.
