It has been a real joy this week to conclude Term One with a fabulous shared concert with the Australian String Quartet, and then our annual Easter Service yesterday in the beautiful Presbyterian Church. I am grateful to Rev. David Schulz who led our service. David has led many Easter and Christmas services for the College, and we wish him well as he heads into retirement in June this year. We have also this week farewelled Director of Boarding, Andrew Monk, who concludes at the College today. A wonderful surprise dinner in the boarding house on Tuesday night, expertly organised by Boarding Captains Finn and Pepper, and a farewell assembly this afternoon allowed us to collectively wish the Monks well as they head off to Harrow International School Guangzhou.

Our best wishes also go to Bek and Shane Bonnett, and Lousie Williams, who are all commencing periods of long-service leave next term. As advised last week, we will welcome Adam Golding and Niamh Carville to cover their classes from the start of Term Two. To facilitate these covers, Mrs Bonnett’s Year 10 Science class will be taken by Amy Andrews, and Mr Monk’s Year 11 Physical Education class will be picked up by Elly Joyce. Students have been advised of all changes, and we are well prepared for a smooth transition at the beginning of next term.

I hope that all students and families have a restful Easter break, regardless of whether you are travelling or staying local. I look forward to seeing students back on Monday 20 April.
