That's a wrap for Term 3! It has certainly been a hive of activity here. 

Clay

Students from Prep to Grade 5 have now completed the majority of their major clay piece  for the year and have or will be taking them home to their families early next term. The students absolutely loved creating this piece and were able to showcase a variety of skills: looking at and identifying patterns from a different culture's artwork, planning patterns, modelling and imprinting in clay, selecting a colour theme, attaching mixed mediums, beading and discussing outcomes and display options. 

Our Grade 6 students will start this piece next term as they have just completed another major piece. The Grade 6s have finished their Street Art inspired surfboards ready to display at Grade 6 Graduation. 

Our talented Extended Art Class students have also been extremely busy working on 4 new panels to grace our art room ceiling space. Panels this year have been inspired by artists : Dean Russo, Pablo Picasso, Joan Miro and Yayoi Kusama. We look forward to their completion and installation  in the middle  of next term.
