Secondary

Dear Families
A warm welcome to Term 3, and I hope that families enjoyed a restful and happy holiday break. This week, we welcome Sofie Marquardt (Health and Physical Education and Year 7 St Louis homeroom teacher), who will replace Jodi Power whilst on leave this term. We also welcome back Simone Preedy (Religious Education), who will be taking some of Pippa Pickering’s class as we prepare for her commencement of parental leave later in the term.
We look forward to an evening of celebration for tonight’s Year 11 Dinner Dance. Thank you to Tim Chaney, Assistant Deputy Principal – Year 11, for coordinating this highly anticipated social event.
Athletics Carnival
The Fr Kevin King Cup Interhouse Athletics Carnival takes place next Friday at the WA State Athletics Stadium. This is a compulsory day for all Secondary students. As a day of fantastic House spirit and competition, students are required to wear full College sport uniform with House shirt and hat and should have appropriate warm and wet weather clothing with them. The carnival commences at 8:15am and will conclude at 3:00pm. Students are expected to make their way to and from the venue; however, transport will be provided to those who are unable to do so. Please see more information provided in the Sports section.
Parents are welcome to join us on the day; we hope to see you there!
John XXIII Day – Moving to cashless purchases
John XXIII Day is one of the most significant days in the College calendar, a community day where students celebrate our founders and heritage. A highlight of the day is the House stalls and activities, which raise funds for our College partners, Jesuit Mission Australia and Mary Ward International.
This year, John XXIII Day will move to cashless purchases.
Secondary parents can now purchase $5, $10 and $20 cards for their child to use on the day.
How to order:
- Log in to My School Connect using Parent ID Passport (PIPs), our single sign-on system. You can sign in with Google, Microsoft, Apple, or your email address, just make sure it matches the email the College has on file for you.
- Select the John XXIII Day tile from the dashboard.
- Choose the value of the card(s) you wish to order and click Add to Order.
Make payment.
Important: Orders close at 11pm on Tuesday 4 August, without exception, to allow time for logistics on the College's end.
Collection and unused funds
- Cards will be delivered to student homerooms for collection at the start of John XXIII Day.
Any outstanding value remaining on cards after the day will be donated, along with funds raised on the day, to our College fundraising partners.
Canteen note: As there will be plenty of food and drink stalls on the day, the Canteen will not be open to Secondary students.
Need help? Contact the My School Connect support team, who will be happy to assist, or visit their FAQs page for more information.
