Brockway Road works – July/August
Western Power is removing disused pilot cables along Brockway Road, Mount Claremont, throughout July and into August. Pilot cables run alongside the power lines and carry monitoring signals for the electricity network — they don't supply power to homes or businesses, and this work has already been superseded by newer communication systems.
No power outages are expected.
Works are taking place in sections, 7am–5pm:
- Alfred Road to Stubbs Terrace: 28 July
- Lemnos Street to The Avenue: 29–30 July
Underwood Avenue to Lemnos Street: 11–14 August
Families may notice some noise from work activities and minor traffic delays where traffic management is in place along affected sections of Brockway Road.
