AFL/W Tommy Lahiff Cup

Our Year 5 and 6 students proudly competed for the AFL/W Tommy Lahiff Cup last week. The boys put in a fantastic effort on Wednesday, narrowly going down to Middle Park in a hard-fought final.

Regional Cross Country

Last Wednesday, Hanna represented Port Melbourne Primary School at the Regional Cross Country Championships in Hastings as the school’s only representative. Competing against some of the Southern Region’s strongest runners, many of whom are ranked among Victoria’s top cross-country athletes, Hanna delivered a personal best performance. While she narrowly missed qualifying for the State Championships, she should be incredibly proud of her determination and achievement.

Diving School Sport Australia National Championships

Hanna’s sporting success extends well beyond cross country. She has recently qualified to represent Victoria at the School Sport Australia National Diving Championships next term. Excitingly, the event will be held at MSAC in Melbourne, and Hanna would love the support of PMPS students, staff and families. Her platform competition takes place on Sunday 26 July at 9:15am.

SSV All Schools Mountain Bike Series

Hanna has also made an outstanding start to the SSV All Schools Mountain Bike Series, winning both of her opening races in Ballarat and at Lysterfield Mountain Bike Park. With several events still to come, she is looking forward to continuing her strong season.
