Parents and Friends

As we enter the season of Lent, many of us begin by considering what we might give up -meat, social media, sweets, alcohol or smoking. This year, you might also consider taking something up instead: committing to daily prayer, performing random acts of kindness, attending additional church services, or volunteering your time to support our community.
If volunteering is your Lenten commitment, we would greatly appreciate your assistance with the preparation and serving at our Year 5 Cocktail Evening on Friday 27 February. Any support is warmly welcomed. Please email parentsandfriends@spc.nsw.edu.au with your availability.
A reminder that tickets are still on sale for the Year 5 Cocktail Evening, to be held on Friday 27 February in the Scientia Building. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet Dr Lavorato, Mr Byrne, and the Year 5 class teachers, and to connect with other families in your son’s cohort. Guests are encouraged to wear a touch of their son’s class colour (for example, Year 5 Red families might wear something red).
Tickets are available via Humanitix and sales close on Friday 20 February.
We are delighted to announce the winner of our School Fee Raffle — Mr Peer, father of a Year 6 student, who will receive $10,000 towards his school fees. Congratulations to the Peer Family and thank you to Mr Byrne for kindly drawing the winner on Friday at St Patrick’s College.
Finally, we are preparing for our first Parents’ and Friends’ General Meeting. While we encourage families to attend in person, we understand the demands of work and after-school commitments. To ensure everyone has the opportunity to be involved, our meeting on Tuesday 17 March will be offered in a hybrid format, both in person and online. We hope this flexible approach will encourage even greater engagement across our parent community.
We look forward to seeing you at these upcoming events and thank you for your continued support of our school community.
