SWIMMING

On Wednesday 4th of March, twelve of our students who previously qualified at the Benalla trials travelled to Wangaratta to compete in the Ovens and Mitta Division Swimming Trials. The competition was tough, but our students gave it their absolute best in the pool while also cheering loudly for their teammates from the sidelines.

It was fantastic to see students from almost every grade competing across a wide range of events, which really highlights the wonderful diversity of swimmers we have at our school. A huge congratulations to everyone who participated—you represented our school brilliantly.

A special mention goes to Luke C, Kelsie H, Isabelle L, and Lukas P, who all placed in the top two in their events and have secured a place in the next stage of the swimming trials. Well done!

Congratulations also to Owen S and Frank C, who joined our freestyle relay team that finished second and will also be progressing to the next stage. An incredible effort from the whole team!

I would also like to say a big thank you to all the parents who helped make the day possible—whether it was driving students, helping with set-up, or making sure our swimmers were warmed up and ready to race. We truly couldn’t do it without your support.

HOCKEY

Some of our grades also had the opportunity to try Hockey on Friday 27th of February, and it’s safe to say there were plenty of smiles (and maybe a few future hockey stars discovered!). Students learned new skills and enjoyed playing some games, giving some their first taste of the sport.

A big thank you to Hockey Victoria for visiting our school and sharing their time and expertise with our students. We loved having you! 🏊‍♂️🏑
