Wellbeing & Learning Inclusion

Wellbeing Update:
It has been a busy few weeks in the Wellbeing Space!
Garden Club
Our Garden Club has been hard at work, pulling out weeds, topping up soil, and mulching our garden beds. In Week 6, we began planting, and we are excited to soon enjoy the fruits (and vegetables!) of our efforts.
Nourish to Flourish Breakfast Club
The Nourish to Flourish Breakfast Club has also made a fantastic start to the year with many students, staff, families and helpers attending.
Our Breakfast Club is supported by staff, Parish volunteers, and, as of 2026, FCJ student volunteers. We extend a heartfelt thank you to the generous local businesses who donate to this initiative.
For businesses interested in supporting or sponsoring our Breakfast Club, please contact Brendan at bfrench@sjbenalla.catholic.edu.au.
The Breakfast Club runs every Thursday morning from 8:00 AM in the Hall.
Mental Health Update:
We are delighted to welcome our new child psychologist, Bethany Carter, who has commenced at St Joseph’s this term.
Bethany has knowledge in child, educational and developmental psychology, where she has experience working in schools and providing therapy and assessments to school aged children. Bethany will be providing individual sessions to students on Thursdays.
To access Bethany's support for your child, please contact Brendan at bfrench@sjbenalla.catholic.edu.au
Hygiene
Washing hands with soap and water is one of the most effective ways of preventing the spread of germs and infection. We know it is not always practical or convenient at school, but we will continue to educate the children to do this. As we come into Autumn and Winter, please revisit with your child (ren) healthy practice.
