PSA Summer Season – Round 6 Recap
The Round 6 fixture was against rivals Aquinas, and it proved once again to be a very tough fixture. 1st Tennis had a narrow win to continue their unbeaten start to the season. Unfortunately, the 1st Volleyball team had their first loss of the season, however, remain on top of the ladder in a three-way tie with Aquinas and Hales.
In what was exciting run chase in the Cricket, Aquinas scored a strong 9/239 off their 50 overs. In reply, Trinity was in trouble early at 7/135, however a 95-run stand between James Lake (10.4) and Tom Shackles (11.7) bought Trinity to within 9 runs. Before Louis Burnett (11.3) hitting the winning runs in what was a classic match.

In other results, in was a tough fixture in general for a lot of our teams in both middle and senior school. However, Trinity had strong wins in the 2nd VIII, 9A and 8A Tennis games. And our Basketball program is growing increasingly stronger every week, with 19 out of our 27 teams enjoying wins. Basketball teams to win included our 2nds-4ths, 7ths-10ths, and a clean sweep in the Year 8 and 9 age groups.
PSA Summer Season – Round 7
The final round of the 2024 summer season is against Wesley in an away fixture. A reminder that it is a full fixture for all students from Year 7-11, with all students expected to attend their games on either Friday or Saturday. Parents are welcome to attend the games and support their son throughout the two days of fixtures.

Strength and Conditioning Centre
Holiday Opening Hours
The Strength and Conditioning Centre will have modified opening hours throughout the holidays for students to use. Use of the centre is free for all students from Year 7-12 and students are able looked after by PerformHQ, who ensure that students are kept safe, learn the basic techniques, and are given personalised programs.
The centre will be open at the following times throughout the holidays:

- Dec 2nd - 6th: 10am-12pm
- Dec 9th - 13th: 10am-12pm
- Dec 16th - 20th: Closed
- Dec 23rd - 27th: Closed
2025
- Dec 30th - Jan 3rd: Closed

Last Chance... Trinity Rowathon Fundraiser
The annual Trinity Rowathon is the TCRC’s main fundraiser of the rowing season. Fundraising/Donations can now be paid to the TC Online Store: The 5 largest donations will be given the right to name one of the new sculls that the fundraising has been used to purchase. This extends to people outside the rowing community. Please see the attached FAQ’s for more info.
Trinity College is one of the rare schools that offers rowing as an activity for which no fees are charged by the College for participation. This fundraising is to keep us competitive with the other colleges with big budgets and who charge a fee to row.
The rowing equipment is available for use for all Trinity students in PE and at learn to row sessions. The money raised from the Rowathon covers the cost of many important things associated with Trinity College Rowing, such as:
- New Boats
- New Oars
- New Ergos
- Gym equipment
- New speedboats
- Repairs/refurbishments to existing equipment

As part of the Regatta, TCRC is running its 2024 TCRC Regatta Raffle.
- 10 amazing hampers on offer and tickets are only $5 each.
- We encourage you to purchase your tickets before the day so you can relax and enjoy the on-water action.
3×3 Basketball Tournament
Friends of Basketball invite all students who are in Years 7 – 10 in 2025 to participate in a 3×3 Basketball Tournament in the first week of Term 1, 2025. The tournament is open to all students in these Year Levels (Years 7-10) – regardless of whether they play basketball or not.
The event, which will comprise of round robin-style competition, will also include pizza, soft drinks, and some great prizes.
- Date: Friday, 31 January 2025
- Time: 3.30pm – 6.30pm
- Venue: TC Sports Centre
- Cost: $80 for a team of four people ($20pp)
NOTE: Only one person needs to book for their team
Strictly 8 teams are permitted per competition group, for a maximum of 16x teams in the competition.
- Group 1: Year 7 & 8 teams
- Group 2: Year 9 & 10 teams
Those who book for a team will be contacted in the new year regarding event details.
All funds raised will go towards supporting the TC Basketball program.
