This Year's Reading Achievements
As the year comes to a close, it’s time to celebrate the reading achievements of our students (and staff) who have been visiting the library this year!
Congratulations to the following Year 7 students who have gained entry to the prestigious 100 Club for accumulating 100 or more points of reading:
- Spencer Favotto
- Maxwell Gliddon
- Nicholas Heng
- Javan Leung
- Rishith Maddipathi
- Orlando Mule
- Oliver Payne
- Joshua Scrivener
A special mention goes to Jai Skyrm who made it to the 200 Club and Mason Bowman who gain entry to the very special 300 Club!
Mason Helean in Year 8 was the only student who successfully completed the entire Genre Challenge by reading an impressive 16 novels from every genre in the Library. Well done, Mason!
The Year 9 Class Reading Challenge was won by Mrs Frost’s Wednesday class. Whilst some believe they were motivated by the prize of Krispy Kreme's, many others saw them take out the win with pure grit, determination and bragging rights against the rest of the Year 9 cohort! It was amazing to witness this small class of boys maintain their reading momentum all year to contribute to their class tally.
And finally, five staff members completed the Staff Reading Adventure by reading 23 books in a specific order, including some interesting choices on ‘lucky dip’ cards. Congratulations to Su-fen Chung who was first to finish the challenge followed by Tahlia Peacham, Maranne Purnell and Ventia Webber.
