School Reminders

We are a SunSmart School

 Term 1 & Term 4

Whittlesea Primary School is a SunSmart school. Sun protection and sunscreen are recommended whenever the ultraviolet (UV) Index reaches 3 (Moderate) or higher.

During Terms 1 and 4, students are required to wear a school-approved sun hat when playing outdoors during break times and during PE and outdoor learning. Students who do not have a hat must remain in the designated shaded areas:

• Lower half of the school: under the shade sails

• Top half of the school: on the shaded basketball court

On days when sun protection is required, students will be encouraged to apply sunscreen. If your child requires their own sunscreen, please send it to school clearly labelled with their name.

Wide-brimmed and bucket hats are available for purchase from Uniform Group in Craigieburn.

Thank you for helping us keep our students safe and sun smart!
