Teaching & Learning

Our Teachers as Learners
This week, our teachers took on the role of learners as they came together for professional learning focused on teaching practice and pedagogy. The session provided an opportunity to share beliefs about effective teaching, reflect on our current practices and engage in thoughtful discussions about how these align with the Victorian Teaching and Learning Model 2.0 (VTLM 2.0).
This work is an important part of our ongoing partnership with the Department of Education as we develop a whole-school Instructional Model for Whittlesea Primary School. Our model will provide a shared understanding of effective teaching and learning, supporting consistency across classrooms while allowing teachers to respond to the diverse needs of their students.
As we work towards aligning our approach with the revised Victorian Curriculum and VTLM 2.0, these conversations help us build a common language and shared vision for teaching and learning. By continuing to learn together, reflect on our practice and collaborate as a team, we are strengthening our collective commitment to providing high-quality learning experiences for every student.
