Hoxton Park Campus Update

Assalaamu Alaykum WRWB,

Alhamdulillah, it is a privilege to reflect on another meaningful and enriching period of learning at Hoxton Park. Each day, I am inspired by the enthusiasm of our learners, the commitment of our educators and the valued partnership we share with our families. Together, we are supporting the formation of our young people through tarbiyah—encouraging them to pursue excellence in learning while remaining firmly grounded in faith, character and service to others.

A Special Message to Our Year 12 Cohort

As our Year 12 HSC Cohort of 2026 enters their final term at Hoxton Park, we acknowledge this significant milestone with great pride. Over the years, these students have grown into resilient, capable and faith-driven young adults who have made a valuable contribution to our school community. 

To our Year 12 students, thank you for your leadership, perseverance and commitment throughout your journey. As you prepare for your final examinations, remember that success is not only measured by results, but by the character, sincerity and determination you have developed along the way. We pray that Allah (SWT) grants you confidence, ease and success in your HSC and blesses the path that lies ahead. Ameen.

The Beauty of Allah's Creation

A standout moment late in term 2 was the opening of MFIS Hoxton Park's first-ever Art Exhibition, “The Beauty of Allah's Creation”. Developed through a collaboration between the Niyyah Sub-committee and the High School CAPA Department, the exhibition invited students and visitors to reflect on the signs of Allah (SWT) through creative expression. From Islamic geometric designs to nature-inspired artworks and portraiture, each piece reflected thoughtful contemplation, creativity and gratitude for Allah's creation. This historic event showcased the remarkable talents of our students while reinforcing the connection between faith, reflection and learning. 

The Niyyah Sub-committee continues to play a central role in strengthening formation and tarbiyah across the campus. Through collaborative initiatives and intentional professional learning, the team supports educators and learners to deepen their knowledge and awareness of Allah, understand their purpose as His servants, and recognise learning as an amanah. This work seeks to nurture individuals who embody adab, act with sincere intention, and connect faith and knowledge with character, service and meaningful action.

Learning with Purpose

At Hoxton Park, we believe that knowledge and character development go hand in hand. In term 2, our students participated in a wide range of experiences designed to deepen both their understanding and their sense of responsibility to others. Our Islamic Studies team brought the rituals of Hajj to life through an immersive Hajj simulation, helping students develop a deeper appreciation of this important pillar of Islam. Meanwhile, our Student Shura Council continued to demonstrate leadership through charitable initiatives including orphan fundraising campaigns and community service projects. 

Service Learning – a collective responsibility to serve our communities:

A particular highlight was our students' involvement in meaningful service-learning opportunities. Secondary students visited the Children’s ward at Liverpool Hospital, where they delivered Eid gifts to children receiving care, bringing joy to young patients and their families during Eid ul-Adha. 

Students also partnered with Brothers in Need, assisting with the packing of food hampers for families and individuals experiencing hardship. These experiences provided valuable opportunities to put Islamic values into practice, developing empathy, gratitude and a genuine commitment to serving others. We are incredibly proud of the compassion, maturity and sincerity our students demonstrated throughout these initiatives.

Science Week: Inspiring Young Scientists

Science Week brought curiosity and discovery to life across our campus. Students participated in a range of engaging hands-on activities exploring movement, forces, heat, energy and electricity. From launching rockets and designing solar ovens to observing chemical reactions and investigating scientific phenomena, students embraced every opportunity to learn through experimentation and inquiry.

A highlight for our Years 3 to 6 students was their visit to the high school science laboratories, where they participated in interactive investigations led by our Science Team. Dressed as scientists and eager to explore, students moved enthusiastically between activities, asking questions, making observations and developing a deeper appreciation for the world around them. Science Week exemplified the power of experiential learning while also providing an opportunity to reflect on the rich legacy of Muslim scholars and scientists whose discoveries continue to shape our world today.

Supporting the Whole Child

The wellbeing of our students remains a central focus of campus life. Throughout the term, Year 5 students participated in social and emotional learning workshops designed to strengthen self-awareness and resilience. Our Year 7 and 8 students engaged in sessions focused on positive relationships, mental health and online safety, while younger students benefited from presentations by the Liverpool Police Liaison Officer on staying safe in digital environments. We also enjoyed celebrating the milestone of 100 Days of Kindergarten, recognising the growth, friendships and achievements of our youngest learners. 

Growing Minds and Confident Hearts

Learning at Hoxton Park extends beyond the classroom. Our Year 12 students gathered for a motivational breakfast and alumni presentation as they prepare for their final year of schooling, while our Year 6 students demonstrated teamwork and initiative through their graduation fundraising activities. Students across the campus are also embracing opportunities in debating, strengthening their confidence, communication skills and ability to engage respectfully with diverse perspectives. 

A Campus Growing with Our Community

We are delighted to see ongoing improvements across the campus, including the new K-6 play area and refreshed leadership and wellbeing spaces. These enhancements reflect our commitment to creating environments that support learning, connection and student wellbeing. Alongside these physical improvements, our continued focus on daily routines, prayer, adab and our Niyyah program has helped foster a calm, purposeful and values-driven learning culture.
