Primary School Engagement

Fourteen Academy students from Years 8-11 volunteered on Thursday, 20 August to assist at the Footscray District Primary School Athletics Carnival held at Aberfeldie Park.  Our students assisted at various field and track events and were wonderful ambassadors for College.  We have also been invited to assist at the Essendon District Primary Athletics Carnival on Tuesday, 8 September.  We have nine eager students looking forward to that event. 

In other news, Academy will be holding its third Grade 4 Discovery Day on Monday, 12 October.  Students from Holy Rosary (Kensington), St Augustine's (Yarraville), Galilee (South Melbourne), St Joseph's (Northcote) and St Brendan's (Flemington) will be in attendance.

Art-Making for Neurodivergent Teens

Get creative, make art and express yourself in this inspiring workshop made especially for neurodivergent teens.  Led by artist and educator Emma “Ruby” Armstrong-Porter, who has lived experience of neurodivergence, this hands-on collage session invites you to explore identity, interests, emotions and the things that make you uniquely you.  This workshop is all about creativity, connection and trying new ways to tell your story through art in a welcoming, low-pressure space.

When:

Years 7-9:  Monday,  28 September, 12.00pm - 2.00pm

Years 10-12:  Tuesday 29 September, 10.00am - 12.00pm
