Year 12 Ball
Article by Mrs Erin McGuinness | Head of Year 12
On Thursday, 27 February, The King’s College senior cohort gathered at the Rendezvous Hotel in Scarborough for the much-anticipated 2025 King’s College Senior Ball. The enchanting evening was inspired by the theme The Garden of Time, offering an unforgettable blend of elegance and magic.
A special thank you goes to Mr Gimm and students Alexis L., Danielle M., and Atida Z., who delivered a wonderful performance of What a Time by Julia Michaels. Their stunning vocals added a memorable touch to the night.
The evening also saw the announcement of several prize winners. Alexis L. and Harneet S. earned the title of Best Dressed, while Xeno L. and Miguel P. were awarded Mr and Miss Personality. Romi A. and Anesu G. were crowned the Belle and Beau of the Ball, and Elsie S. and Ethan L. were recognised as the Best Dancers of the night.
A heartfelt thanks to the students of the Ball Committee for their hard work in organising the event and running fundraisers that helped create the beautiful decorations. Their efforts truly made the night special.
The exemplary behaviour of our students throughout the evening was a true highlight. It was incredibly rewarding to see them enjoying the event and creating lasting memories with their friends. We hope these memories will stay with them for a long time. The 2025 King’s College Ball was indeed a night to remember!
World Prayer Day
Article by Rev. Dr Michael Battersby | Director of Worship & Special Projects
On Tuesday, February 27, The King's College participated in the World Day of Prayer and students and staff engaged and staff in a number of God-Moments where we sought Him and partnered with Heaven for miracles, growth and blessing to our homes and families.
God isn’t looking for perfect prayers…He’s looking for faith: a deep trust and even a passionate desperation to call on Him in the midst of our trouble and choose to believe – “God can make a way for me!”.
