As we reach the end of the year and the summer heat really takes hold, our Billy Button children have been settling into a slower rhythm. With the days so hot, water play has become a favourite way to stay cool while still giving the children space to play, explore and unwind.

There’s also a gentle hum of anticipation as the year draws to a close. You can feel the mix of excitement and tiredness that comes with this season, as the children sense both the ending of the term and the special celebrations ahead.

For many children in Billy Button, this has been their first opportunity to spread their wings, to explore and to learn separately from their parents — and they have truly flown. I have thoroughly enjoyed watching their personalities emerge and their independence grow throughout the year. Each child has found their confidence and their own voice amongst their peers, and I am certain they will thrive with the new and exciting challenges that next year will bring.

Thank you for being such a delightful group of families. I am genuinely grateful for your trust and support throughout the year. Wishing you and your loved ones a wonderful summer break filled with all the best things.
