HEATH MORRIS

Term 4 PE went well for all classes, with the highlight being the LTS program for Classes 1 to 6, which was one of the best so far. Many students progressed to the next level.

Class 1 have been working on their balancing, ball-handling, skipping, and hopping skills throughout Term 4, accompanied by fun tag games and obstacle courses. It has been a pleasure to experience their enthusiasm and energy over the term.

Class 2 have been developing their spatial awareness, hopping, skipping, and ball-handling skills, also accompanied by fun tag games and obstacle courses. It has been a pleasure to help expand their PE abilities while enjoying time outside.

Class 3 have been developing their teamwork awareness through rounders games, netball numbers, and revisiting their lawn bowls skills. Mixed in, as always, were fun games like Sharky Sharky and Golden Child.

Class 4 have enjoyed learning volleyball, cricket, badminton, AFL, and lawn bowls, also accompanied by other fun games such as Narnia.

Class 5 mainly focused on preparing for their Greek Olympics, learning discus, shot put, javelin, running, and wrestling. They also enjoyed some cricket and badminton. It has been a joy to continue assisting them as they develop and refine the various aspects of PE.

Class 6 revised and enhanced their volleyball skills and revisited many of their favourite games and sports from the past six years. I have thoroughly enjoyed assisting and watching their development, completing my first full learning cycle with a class.

Lastly, I would like to highlight all students’ learning and development, especially the wonderful refinement of their honesty, fair play, teamwork, and sportsmanship skills over Term 3.

I look forward to continuing to support growth and development for all children in Semester 24 during their PE classes.

I would also like to congratulate Madeline and Anouk in Class 6, Pippa and Lucy in Class 5, and Tommy in Class 4, who attended the Alice Springs interschool swimming carnival. All students achieved a first place and several ribbons, and Pippa won age champion. Well done on your fantastic efforts.

All the best,

Heath Morris
