Walk With Christ 2025

To celebrate the wonderful Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ (Corpus Christi) this Sunday (22 June).

Dear St Martha’s Families

This Sunday we celebrate the Solemnity of Corpus Christi.

You’re all warmly invite to our 3-6 Family Mass at 10am at St Martha’s Catholic Church followed by morning tea. If you could please bring a nut-free plate to share, we would be very grateful to you. Many thanks in advance.

Also, as mentioned in our former Newsletters and Compass notes, you are all very warmly invited to join Archbishop Anthony Fisher OP this Sunday in celebrating the Feast of Corpus Christi by participating in the 2025 Walk with Christ.

This Eucharistic procession through the streets of Sydney will unite all Catholics

as we profess and honour the real presence of Jesus in the Eucharist. In

preparation for the International Eucharistic Congress in 2028, this event will

play a pivotal role in fostering a eucharistic revival within the Archdiocese of

Sydney.

Walk with Christ will take place on Sunday the 22nd of June commencing at

2:30pm from the corner of Pitt Street and Martin Place. It will be preceded by a

festival in Martin Place starting at 1:00pm.

It is recommended to travel by public transport to and from the event.

Solemnity of Corpus Christi

Here is a video on the Solemnity of Corpus Christi that you might like to watch with your children this weekend: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BYBOtYphffI

When the different classes of students come to Adoration at St Martha’s Church on Mondays at the end of Lunch 1, it is always such a joy to see that even the youngest ones know that Jesus is truly present in the Blessed Sacrament.

The students know well that the Eucharist is not a symbol, but it is Jesus’ body, blood, soul and divinity really present.
