A Message from the Principal
Mrs Carolyn Parsell
Dear Parents and Carers,
We love to celebrate good news. Our children have many talents and we are delighted to be able to showcase them in many ways. In the last two weeks we have had students representing our school in the Sydney Catholic Schools Eisteddfod. Last week a selected group of the choir students from Kinder to Year 6 represented the school at St Patrick's College Sutherland and recieved a participation certificate. The students were very dedicated to their preparation and enjoyed performing in front of the other competitors.
Yesterday our Extension String Ensemble and our Extension Concert Band with the Stage 3 Concert Band performed at Marist College Eastwood. Our Concert Band received an encouragement award and the String Ensemble placed First in their section. It was wonderful to see the excitement from the children as they performed together. There were many compliments about their performances. We thank the teachers who accompanied the students to the events and the wonderful Amadeus tutors who conducted and accompanied the children in their preparation for the eisteddfod performances. We have one student competing in the solo performances in the school holidays and we wish him all the best for his performance.
This Sunday is the Solemnity of Corpus Christi. We are all invited to join the procession through the streets of Sydney in our annual Walk With Christ. You can find all the details on Mrs Razzoli's Family Educator page.
The Athletics Carnival on Monday was a wonderful day and we were blessed with glorious weather and excellent volunteers. The children displayed great sporting prowess and were encouraging of their peers. We are very grateful for the efforts of the parent volunteers and the staff for making the day such a success. Congratulations to Ryan colour house on a well deserved win. See the full report here!
Peace and best wishes,
Carolyn Parsell
