Rugby 7's Gala Day

Three mixed teams travelled to Walgett for their annual Rugby 7’s Gala Day on Friday, 5th September. Two Stage 3 teams and one Stage 2 team played four fast-paced 16-minute round robin matches before heading into the playoffs and finals. It was fantastic to see the players grow in skill, confidence and teamwork with every game. Well done to all players.

Stage 3 Green fought hard in a thrilling playoff, narrowly missing out in the finals by just one try while Stage 2 Yellow impressed all day and earned a well-deserved place in the grand final, finishing as runners-up.

A huge thank you to our parent coaches for their outstanding coaching and support throughout the day.

Todd Woodbridge Cup

Our Stage 3 students excitedly took to the courts for the Todd Woodbridge Cup which was held at the Narrabri Tennis Courts recently. With eleven teams from schools across Narrabri competing, there was no shortage of brilliant rallies, awesome skills and plenty of smiles!

A total of 29 students made up three teams who played their hearts out, making it through to the semi finals. Well done to the St FX Gold team who progressed to play in the grand final on the day!! We're so proud of the way our students encouraged each other, showed great sportsmanship and represented our school.

A big thank you to Mr Shane Murphy from Narrabri Tennis for organising such a fun and successful event.

NRL All Schools Cup

44 students from Stage 2 and 3 took part in the NRL All Schools Cup held at Collins Park on Tuesday, 9th September. We entered three boys league tackle teams and two girls league tag teams.

It was a fantastic day filled with energy, teamwork and sportsmanship. Our students played several matches, demonstrating their growing rugby league skills, determination and support for one another both on and off the field. Well done to all our players for their outstanding effort and achievements.

A huge thank you to our parent coaches as well as our wonderful staff Mrs Hardy, Mrs Quirk and Mrs Nehrkorn who made the day possible.

NSW Netball Schools Cup North West Regional Finals

The qualifying team from the recent NSW Netball Schools Cup Narrabri event, travelled to Tamworth to compete in the North West Regional Finals. Braving freezing conditions and tough opposition, our mixed team showed great resilience and gave their absolute best on the court.

Congratulations to all players for showcasing outstanding skill, determination, and teamwork throughout the day!

Polding Athletics (Glendale)

A huge congratulations to Chloe Holden, Stella Craig, Callum O'Neill and Zoe Wannan for their outstanding efforts at the Polding Athletics Carnival held at the Hunter Sports Centre, Glendale (Newcastle).

Our athletes competed in multiple events on the day, giving it their all with some incredible PB's, powerful jumps, and lightning-fast runs. The joy and determination on display was inspiring, with everyone thrilled to be part of such a special experience.

Special mention to Zoe, who claimed first place in the 8 Years Girls 100m Final and to Callum, who finished third in the 10 Years Boys 100m Final. Both students have now earned their spot in the Polding Athletics team and will represent at the NSWPSSA Athletics Championships next term. Well done!!
