Father’s Day Breakfast
Our school began the Father’s Day celebrations by hosting our annual Father’s Day Breakfast on Friday 5th September. It was wonderful to spend the morning with so many dads, grandads, uncles and father figures enjoying a delicious breakfast together.
A huge thank you to our amazing staff for helping in the morning and to the families who kindly donated eggs.
Kindergarten 2026 Transition
Our Kindergarten 2026 children are all smiles and excited to attend transition sessions!!
Time flies when you're having fun!! They have already attended three out of their seven transition sessions! Last week they had their first full day of transition. With the whole school at The Crossing Theatre for dance rehearsal, the children enjoyed sitting at the Kindergarten eating area, playing on the infants’ equipment and getting a feel for school life.
We look forward to seeing everyone again on Thursday for another full day of transition.
Year 6 St Mary’s College Transition
Our Year 6 students attending St Mary’s College (SMC) for high school next year have taken part in their first Taster Transition Day. Seventeen students departed school on the SMC bus bound for Gunnedah, ready for a fun-filled day of new experiences.
The activities began in science, where students were excited to use a Bunsen burner for the very first time and also received their official Bunsen Burner Licence from the Head of Science.
After recess, students took part in an energetic Music lesson, experimenting with a variety of percussion instruments, before enjoying some active PE games and a special Pizza Hut lunch.
The group thoroughly enjoyed the day and are already looking forward to their second Taster Transition Day later this year.
Brain Olympia Finals
Our amazing Brain Olympia team participated in the finals held at St Xavier’s, Gunnedah.
The team rose to the challenge with confidence, showing off their quick thinking, teamwork and impressive general knowledge skills!! Their dedication and preparation shone through, especially in the trivia section where they achieved fantastic results. Well done everyone.
Stage 3 - CPR
Stage 3 enjoyed the opportunity to participate in CPR training with Cameron McFarlane from Royal Life Saving. They learnt vital first aid skills that could one day help save a life.

What an exciting start to their high school journey! The students are excited to attend their second transition day next term.

Waratahs Visit
Our school was buzzing with excitement on Friday afternoon as the NSW Waratahs rugby union players paid us a visit! We were especially proud to welcome back past student Martha Harvey, who now plays halfback for the women’s team.
Stage 3 students loved taking part in drills and modified games with the players, before the whole school came together for an engaging information session. The students were excited to get some autographs!!
