Whole School Athletics Carnival – Friday 31 July
One of the highlights of the school calendar is almost here! Our annual Whole SchoolHouse Athletics Carnival will be held on Friday 31 July at Jack Eddy Oval, Moama.
The Athletics Carnival is always a fantastic day of House spirit, friendly competition and student participation. Whether students are chasing records, competing for House points or simply getting involved and cheering on their classmates, it's an event that brings our College community together.
Event Details

Travel
Students will travel to and from the venue by bus from both the Brigidine and Kildare Campuses, or they may be dropped off directly at Jack Eddy Oval.
- Bus departure from school: 8.40am
- Student arrival at venue: 9.00am
- Dismissal from Jack Eddy Oval: 2.45pm
- Buses return to St Joseph's College: Approximately 3.00pm
Attendance
Learning Mentor rolls will be marked at 9.15am, and all students must check in with their Learning Mentor upon arrival.
Attendance is compulsory. Parents/carers will be contacted if a student is absent.
Students who are unable to attend due to illness must provide a medical certificate or statutory declaration. Unapproved absences may impact eligibility to participate in future School Sport Victoria events.
Parents and Carers
Parents and carers are warmly invited to attend and support our students throughout the day.
Please sign in at the designated parents' area, located along the rocked section near the finish line (refer to the venue map in Compass Resources).
To ensure the carnival runs safely and efficiently, parents are asked not to enter the track or field event areas.
Important Information for Students
- Students cannot drive to Jack Eddy Oval due to limited parking.
- Students must remain at the venue for the duration of the carnival.
- Mobile phones are not permitted.
- A canteen will operate throughout the day and we will also have a BBQ available for students to purchase hamburgers and sausages with all proceeds going to the Vinnies Winter Appeal.
Students are not permitted to leave the venue to purchase food or have takeaway food delivered.
Early Departure
Students wishing to leave directly from Jack Eddy Oval at the conclusion of the carnival (2.45pm) must have a Compass Leave Pass submitted and approved prior to the event.
An organised collection area will operate to ensure students can be signed out efficiently.
Students without an approved Leave Pass will return to school on the buses.
