Secondary Sports Day – Year 7-9 (only)

Students in Year 7-9 only will have the opportunity next Tuesday during Learning Labs to place their 3 preferences for the sport they wish to play on the Secondary Sports Day, Tuesday 10 December. Students are to note there are limited spots for each sport and so second and third preferences maybe used.

The following sports are on offer: Soccer, Basketball, Netball, Indoor Cricket, and Table Tennis.

Once this list has been created, parents will then be asked to approve their child's sport via Consent2Go.

Secondary Maths

One of the many resources used during Secondary Maths classes is the Cambridge online textbook. Each Secondary student at Southern Christian College has access to online materials. Students can access the interactive textbook through their Maths class page on Schoolbox. The interactive textbook has many useful features such as, definitions and concept explanations, videos that explain the worked examples, “walkthroughs” of problems and the chapter exercises with the answers. These features are beneficial and can help students prepare for end of year exams or revise for upcoming unit tests. If students have difficulty accessing this resource, Maths staff will be able to help them. If students need assistance preparing for exams, they are encouraged to speak to their Maths teacher.
