Year 4 TMAG excursion - See below for more!
As we are fast approaching the end of the 2024 academic year, plans are well underway for 2025. This includes teacher allocations for the new year.
Step up day is a wonderful way for the students to see who will most likely be their teacher and meet any new classmates who will be joining them in 2025. Please be aware there can be unexpected adjustments over the holiday break, so the students will be told on the day this is most likely their teacher, although sometimes changes can occur.
The students will be given information about what to expect in class in 2025, as well as hear about exciting excursions, camps and other events. They will also participate in some interesting activities, as a taste of what is to come.
Step up day will run the morning of Tuesday 10 December, beginning after recess and finishing at midday. They will then return to their current class for fruit break. We hope that all the students will be at school on the day and enjoy the opportunity to meet their teacher and visit their 2025 classroom.
We look forward to students experiencing an engaging year of learning in our caring College community.

Head of Primary
Please note that there will be no more weekly Primary assemblies for Term 4, as classes prepare for our special end of year Celebration Events.
This term, Year 4 students have been exploring the idea of relocation. We have discussed reasons why people may choose, or be forced, to change where they live and the effects this change has on the people involved and the environment. We have been concentrating to the arrival of the First Fleet and the colonisation of Australia. To support our learning Year 4 had an excursion to the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery where we looked at the exhibits in the Bond Store. Students were able to view artifacts and art work that help us to understand the lives of some of the people from the early 1800’s. Students also looked at an exhibit that attempted to share the stories of Indigenous and British people when they were first interacting.
