Volleyball Victoria One Day tournament
On Wednesday 17 June, Nossal sent three teams to compete in the Volleyball Victoria One Day tournament. Despite this being a debut tournament for many of the students, all three teams gave an outstanding performance against some formidable opponents.
The Years 10 & 11 boys and Years 11 & 12 girls teams put up an amazing fight against difficult teams including the likes of Melbourne High School and Haileybury, with many of our students playing up a year level.
Overall, the Year 10 & 11 boys placed 3rd, and the Years 11 & 12 girls placed 4th in their respective divisions - An exceptional result which all the students should be proud of!
A big congratulations to the Years 11 & 12 boys’ team who placed first in their division, winning all five games consecutively!A huge thanks to Ms Vanstan who attended on the day, and to all the teachers who made this event possible.

Senior Table Tennis
Casey North / Cardinia Division
On Tuesday 14 July the Nossal Senior Girls table tennis team played a round robin competition against the Casey and Cardinia division. The team arrived at Dandenong Table Tennis Club with competitive energy and an optimistic attitude ready to get into the upcoming matches. Throughout the games, the girls went for big spin serves and played very well to defeat Gleneagles and Fountain Gate Secondary College.
We are so excited to progress through to the Southern Metro Region competition where we are looking forward to bringing our A-game when versing our rivals at MacRobertson Girls High, hoping to secure a place at the state finals for the third consecutive appearance.
We would especially like to thank Mr Armistead and the boys senior table tennis team for their unwavering support during training sessions and for encouraging and cheering for us on the actual game day. A big shout out to my teammates Sara, Parisa and Yunaizah for a really fun day!
On Tuesday 14 July the Nossal Senior Boys table tennis teams played against Berwick College, Gleneagles Secondary College and Fountain Gate. Nossal entered two teams who ended up versing each other in the final. Thank you very much to Trevin, Arjun, Dhiira, Do, Josh, Harry, Yash and Yatharth for a great day’s play! We are looking forward to versing Melbourne High School at the Southern Metro Regional competition on Tuesday 28 July.
