What if one day could spark an idea that changes your school, or even your community?

On Wednesday, 12 August, NEST (Nossal Environmental Sustainability Team) will once again host its annual NEST Summit, bringing together passionate student leaders from schools across the region for a day of inspiration, collaboration and action.

NEST is Nossal’s environmental club, uniting students who are committed to making a positive difference through sustainability. Throughout the year, members lead initiatives that encourage environmentally responsible practices, reduce waste, promote recycling and raise awareness of the environmental challenges facing our world. From small everyday actions to larger school-wide projects, NEST empowers students to turn ideas into meaningful change.

Being part of NEST is about much more than protecting the environment. Members develop valuable leadership, teamwork and communication skills while collaborating with like-minded students who share a passion for creating a more sustainable future. The club welcomes students from all year levels, providing opportunities to contribute fresh ideas, take initiative and become part of a supportive community committed to making an impact.

The highlight of the year is the NEST Summit: a unique event where environmental clubs from across Victoria come together to showcase their sustainability projects, exchange innovative ideas and learn from one another's experiences. Rather than competing, students collaborate, celebrate achievements and leave with practical ideas they can implement back in their own schools.

This year's theme, "Discover, Connect and Grow," captures the spirit of the summit.• Discover new ideas, innovative projects and fresh perspectives on sustainability.• Connect with passionate students from schools across Victoria who share a common purpose.• Grow as a leader, a changemaker and an advocate for a more sustainable future.
